We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Openly Campout! If you haven't paid yet DO IT NOW!
Please take a few moments to thoroughly read this email so you know the whole scoop and don't ask stupid questions or make stupid mistakes :)

LOCATION

If you haven't paid and registered in advance, you are still welcome to attend. We have saved a few spots left for fashionable latecomers. But if in doubt, just PAY IN ADVANCE-that solves everything!

ARRIVAL TIME

Please arrive either Friday 6-11pm or Saturday 12pm-11pm to be registered and greeted. Arriving outside these hours will cause confusion and upset, unless pre-arranged. Arrive during daylight if you can. The road in is windy and confusing.

WHAT TO BRING
A small tent (camping space is limited, if you only have a large tent then bring some roommates!)
A cup, a plate and eating utensils (let's avoid the wasteful disposable option)
Snacks and booze to share (meals are provided)
Sensible shoes
Costumes
Your PAL (YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THIS EVENT UNACCOMPANIED. YOU WILL BE TURNED AROUND AND SENT HOME IF YOU ARRIVE ALONE)

20'x30' communal structure for the chill space. Got any ideas?
Old carpets for Sanctuary and chill space.

THINGS TO NOTE
Costumes make everything better
People might be naked
High heels are a bad idea, unless lying down
No Children or dogs
Please respect the neighbors and stay off their property
Be aware of poison oak and stay on trails
You will NOT be able to camp with your car. Parking is a 2 minute walk up the hill.

THE PAL SYSTEM
At this event, more than ever, be careful about the PAL you choose. You will be held responsible if they are out of line, so come with someone you trust.

SEX POSITIVITY
This will be a sex positive space, but not a sex focused space. Knowing our crowd, there will be doinking and spanking and love-making and explorations (and probably some poly processing) , but NO expectation and no guarantees.

PARTICIPATING

Every single person who comes to this event will be volunteering their time and energy to make it happen. Whether your offering is creative or practical, you are an integral part of the event.

FIRE
Open flame is allowed only in the fire rings provided (no candles, lanterns or camp stoves)
Fire toys are allowed only on the dance floor area or in the upper gathering area.
Please don't burn anything that will send embers floating away such as paper or bras.

WATER
There is running water in the kitchen area and there are two pit toilets.

MEALS
You will be fed on Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning. If you want to snack in between feel free to bring snackage. And don't forget to bring booze, if you want a drink. We will not be providing ANY alcohol.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T
Please take care of each other and respect each others boundaries. No unwanted touching, leering, or sexual come-ons. If you hear "no", please don't ask again. If somebody is bothering you, please let the camparound host know immediately.

LEAVE NO TRACE

This is a Leave No Trace event. We do not have trash collection, so anything you leave behind we have to pay to dump. So please take home everything you bring with you, including beer bottles, food wrappers, and drunken friends.

PARKING
When you arrive, greeters will show you where to park. Please don't try and figure it out on your own. We will have a shuttle vehicle available to move people and gear from their parked vehicles to the camp ground. Please place your name on a note and place it inside the windshield of your vehicle. If you're blocking someone, it'll be easier to figure out how to get it moved. If you think you'll need to leave after dark, park with your vehicle pointed in the exit direction. Turning around on that narrow road is a bitch in the dark.

Just $50 covers your camping fee and food for 3 days (1 meal on Friday, 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are amazed at the incredible line up that is revealing itself for the Campout! Every day more fabulous people sign up to share their creative offerings. Here are just a few of the things we have happening:
SPEED MINGLING! On Friday evening you'll get a chance to meet a bunch of people with our take on the classic 'speed dating'.
CRAFTY BUSINESS! Knitting workshops with CHLOE. Make your own Poi with KAI and learn to spin them! If you have a crafty activity to share please let us know your plan!!
BENDY YOGA! That's right folks, bring your yoga mats. We've got the fabulous ELOESH to get us all bendy n shit. All levels welcome.
TIKI HOUR!:Wear a bad tiki shirt or a coconut bra and join us at Tiki Hour, hosted by PROFESSOR TIKIPANTS. He'll be playing the smoothest lounge tunes and serving up the most delicious Tiki drinks.
BAWDY STORYTELLING! Our campfire wouldn't be complete without a round of storytelling, and because DIXIE is coming, it's gonna be BAWDY!!!

CIRCUS TIME! What with all the crazy circus peeps in this community, we're not surprised that we got a lot of people offering circus skillz. Clowns, sword swallowers, geeks.... on Saturday evening there will be an hour (or two) dedicated to CIRCUS. If you want to be part of it please let us know.
CUDDLE ZONE! Don't be afraid- cuddling isn't mandatory. But once you see that puppy pile you'll want to dive in! We guarantee it! And with MARCIA being here, it's not just any old cuddle- she's the co-founder of the original Cuddle Party(R) from New York.

DANCE PARTY! Of course we'll have awesome DJs here for our Saturday night dance party. So far we've got DR FRIENDLY, BIG MIKE, TIMMMII and THE PROFESSOR. If you're a DJ and you would like to play, please send us a link to an online mix so we can check it out.
SANCTUARY! We'll have a corner dedicated to quiet meditation, where you can always get out of the fray. Sit among the redwoods in peaceful contemplation. Bring an item for the group altar, and a pillow to sit on.
DON'T DELAY
We do not want to deal with cash at the event, and we need the money ahead of time to purchase the food, so please pay up ASAP if you're coming!!

This event has been designed and organized by the people of OPENLY and is not a profit making enterprise- all the proceeds of the event will go towards the space,the food, and some small admin costs. If we have anything left over it will go towards future Openly endevours.
The campground is near Santa Cruz-the exact location will be sent out once your registration is confirmed.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE YOU REGISTER

- No kids, no pets at the campout
- Everyone arrives with a PAL (http://kinkysalon.com/?page_id=20)
- Bring a SMALL tent- camping areas are limited (if you only have a big tent then bring a couple of roommates!)
- You will NOT be able to camp next to your car
- It is a RUSTIC camp with very basic amenities (Pit toilet, no shower)
- BUT There is RUNNING WATER to hose us down, POWER and a KITCHEN
- Flat shoes are essential. No heels. It's slopey and uneven.
- Leave no trace- pack up your trash.
- EVERYONE participates to help make it happen. If you're here, you volunteer.
- Registration is $50 per person, including food for the weekend.

ANNOUNCEMENT

On the weekend of May 29/30/31 OPENLY will be hosting it's first springtime campout. There will be performances, DJs, workshops, demonstrations, and all kinds of cool stuff going on. What exactly that is WE DON'T KNOW YET.
Why?
Because YOU will be providing it.
Yes, that's right- every single person who comes will also play a part in making it happen. Whether your offering is creative or practical, the weekend will not be the same without you.
This event has been designed and organized by the people of OPENLY and is not a profit making enterprise- all the proceeds of the event will go towards the space,the food, and some small admin costs. If we have anything left over it will go towards future Openly endevours.
There is limited space, and we expect to sell out so early registration is highly recommended. The campground is near Santa Cruz-the exact location will be sent out once your registration is confirmed.
